Make a Teacher a Leader Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Robert and Karen Herz in 2014 to support current teachers who are pursuing a Master’s degree at the School of Education. Teacher candidates should be able to demonstrate leadership, creativity and innovation in education, a use of art and diversity in classrooms and promotion of anti-bullying. Eligible students must have taught at their current school for at least a year and are pursuing their first MA degree. Preference shall be first given to teachers from Douglas Elementary School, second to Southern Hills Middle School, third to Boulder Valley School District and fourth to Denver Public School District.
