Beardsley Family Scholarship in the Center of the American West

The George B. Beardsley Family Scholarship is awarded to students at the University of Colorado Boulder who meet the following criteria: (1) undergraduate student enrolled in the Western American Studies Certificate Program in the Center of the American West, (2) enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree program, (3) remain enrolled full-time during the spring semester of the award, and (4) maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. This scholarship is awarded and applied in the spring semester of each academic year. Recipients are asked to (1) write a thank you note to the Beardsley family, (2) write a report on how participation in the certificate program has been beneficial in moving closer toward one or more life goals, and (3) provide a brief oral report to the Center’s board of directors at the spring meeting or a brief written report if unable to attend.
