Schachter Family Scholarship

The Schachter Family Endowed Scholarship was established to support students who are a leader of character, integrity, and ambition and, if able, will one day remove financial obstacles for future scholars through their philanthropic investment in the Schachter Family Endowed Scholarship Fund and/or their own fund. The donors believe that when former recipients “pay it forward,” it fosters a culture of philanthropy among alumni and encourages them to support students who, through no fault of their own, find themselves in financial distress.

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

• Be an undergraduate third-year/junior or four-year/senior student.
• Be enrolled in either the College of Engineering and Applied Science, the Leeds School of Business, or any STEM related field of study.
• Be experiencing a financial crisis, through no fault of your own, which is impeding your ability to meet your tuition payments.
• Be in good academic standing.
• Demonstrate Financial Need according to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or CASFA.

Preference will be given to students who are employed, have an outstanding unpaid tuition balance that prevents them from registering for the upcoming semester, and who have utilized all available resources of support, including grants, scholarships, and loans.
