Marsico Excellence Scholarship
The Marsico Excellence Scholarship is a merit-and need-based scholarship for incoming students at CU Boulder. Scholarships are awarded for one year. Marsico Scholars who meet the renewal requirements are eligible to receive the scholarship for a total of four academic years.
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be a first-year incoming undergraduate student.
- Be a Colorado resident.
- Have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.6 of higher.
Preference will be given to student first-generation students and students who demonstrate financial need according to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or CASFA..
Renewal Criteria
To be eligible to renew this scholarship each year, recipients are required to enroll as full-time undergraduate students each fall and spring semester, maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA each academic year, and meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). This scholarship is renewable for up to 4 years.
This scholarship aims to support the lived and individual experiences and achievements of first-generation college students. This scholarship is open to qualified CU Boulder applicants and does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, creed, religion, veteran status, marital status, political affiliation, political philosophy, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression in accordance with state, federal, and Regent law.
