Charles Norton Fund in Anthropology

The Charles Norton Fund in Anthropology is provided through the Department of Anthropology in the College of Arts & Sciences. Recipients of the Charles Norton Fund in Anthropology are awarded $5,000 for the upcoming academic year split evenly between the fall and spring semesters and it is renewable for up to 4 years.

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be an incoming first-year undergraduate enrolled full-time with a declared major in Anthropology in the College of Arts & Sciences.
  • Underrepresented students include those students from geographic areas and socioeconomic backgrounds who are historically underrepresented in the field of anthropology and/or students who have faced unusual adversity.

This scholarship is automatically renewable for up to a total of four years as long as the recipient remains enrolled full-time with a declared major Anthropology in the College of Arts & Sciences and is SAP eligible.

The scholarship will be awarded to students demonstrating commitment to the anthropology community and/or contributing to the study of anthropology culture, education, and history.

The scholarship will be awarded based on academic merit.
