Ella Cara Deloria Endowed Scholarship in Ethnic Studies

The Ella Cara Deloria Endowed Scholarship is provided through The Department of Ethnic Studies and the University of Colorado Boulder. Recipients of the Ella Cara Deloria Endowed Scholarship are awarded for one year. This is a one-time scholarship.

This scholarship honors the legacy of Dakota scholar and anthropologist Ella Cara Deloria by providing support to undergraduate students who demonstrate a commitment to mentoring marginalized groups. Priority will be given to students working on Indigenous sovereignty and rights.

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

• Be a CU Boulder undergraduate majoring or minoring in Ethnic Studies with at least one semester left before graduation.
• Be in good academic standing with a GPA of 2.0 or higher

Preference for students with demonstrated financial need as determined by the FASFA/CASFA
*Preference will be given to first-generation college students, students who have disadvantaged backgrounds and have faced unusual adversity, and students with an interest in and commitment to social justice or civil rights.

This scholarship aims to support the lived and individual experiences and achievements of first-generation college students.
