Richard L. and Amanda W. Smoot Scholarship in Economics
The *Richard L. and Amanda W. Smoot Scholarship *is provided through the Department of Economics and the University of Colorado Boulder. Recipients of the Richard L. and Amanda W. Smoot Scholarship are awarded for one year. This is a one-time scholarship.
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be a current junior student who will be a senior in the upcoming academic year with a declared major in Economics.
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Demonstrate Financial Need according to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or CASFA.
Preference is given to students participating in the CU in D.C. internship program, and to students who have an interest in the arts and humanities, in addition to their studies in economics. Students do not need to apply directly for this scholarship. Instead, award decisions are made by a committee in the Department of Economics.
