Lattice First Generation Scholarship
The Lattice First Generation Scholarship was established to support first-generation, undergraduate students who are residents of the state of Colorado and who demonstrate high financial need according to the FAFSA/CASFA. The Lattice Scholarship combines with other scholarships, grants, and aid you may receive to provide a Lattice Scholarship that meets students’ unmet financial need. The Lattice Scholarship is intended to cover a majority of the cost of attendance for selected scholars.
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must:
- Complete the CU Boulder Scholarship Application, the College of Engineering Scholarship Application, including the Lattice Scholarship Application questions by the posted deadline.
- Demonstrate high financial need as determined by the FAFSA/CASFA.
*PLEASE NOTE: This opportunity is only open to first-time first year students entering CU in Fall 2024.
The Scholarship is renewable for up to four years provided recipients enroll as full-time undergraduate students each fall and spring semesters; maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA each academic year; and complete Lattice Scholar Participation requirements including mentoring, Lattice academic coaching, annual events, and Lattice Essential Strategies for Engineering Success course.

- What Lattice Offers: The purpose of the Lattice First Generation Scholarship Program is to support the success and graduation of first-generation Coloradoans with high financial need.
Lattice aims to do this by providing:
- The Lattice Scholarship to meet students' unmet financial need.
- Access to academic, wellness, and other resources - such as: Academic Coaching, Wellness workshops, 1:1 support from Lattice Program staff, and more.
- A mentorship program for specifically designed for Lattice scholars to build relationship and community with their peers and with Lattice mentors - through individual and group meetings, scholars build supporting mentoring- and peer-relationships through activities and discussion of various topics related to person and academic growth and success.
- Financial Wellness workshops and activities for scholars to gain knowledge and skills to manage their financial resources during and beyond their college experience.
