Talent & Creativity Scholarship in Dance

The Talent and Creativity Scholarship in Dance is awarded to students who meet the following criteria:

• Current undergraduate enrolled full-time with a declared major (BA or BFA) in Dance in the College of Arts & Sciences.
• CU GPA 2.5 or higher.
• Complete the CU Boulder General Scholarship Application.
• Complete this apply-to application by the deadline.

Students are selected based on their involvement in the dance division and the CU Boulder community. Possible areas of consideration include dedication to dance training, quality of choreographic endeavors, ingenuity of artistic exploration, commitment to technical theatre work and community outreach. Special attention given to attributes that extend beyond coursework requirements.

  1. Evidence of Involvement includes performance, choreography (beyond composition class requirements), running/construction crews (beyond production requirements), production management (beyond production requirements), costume design/construction, recruitment, publicity, leadership in Onstage or CUDC, dance volunteer work outside the department and off campus. Special consideration will be given to those with direct involvement in CUDC. We realize not everyone is able to attend CUDC meetings, so involvement could include but is not limited to: participating or teaching Unleashed classes, participating in CUDC Fridays, helping with fundraising, attending weekly meetings, helping with Open Space.
