K.A. Nuzum Scholarship in Religious Studies

The K.A. Nuzum Scholarship is provided through the Department of Religious Studies and the University of Colorado Boulder. Recipients of the K.A. Nuzum Scholarship are awarded for one-year. This is a one-time scholarship.

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

*Be a current undergraduate enrolled full-time with a declared major in Religious Studies.
*Preference is for student(s) who are high achieving or have financial need.

How to Apply

To apply for consideration, you must:

  • Complete the CU Boulder General Scholarship Application
  • Complete this application by the deadline.
  • A letter of recommendation from a RLST faculty member must be uploaded by the application deadline of March 15th.

The Nuzum Scholar will receive a $1,000 award split equally between the fall and spring semesters and must remain enrolled full-time throughout the academic year.

The Scholarship Committee particularly encourages underrepresented students in the Religious Studies department to apply. Underrepresented students include those students from geographic areas and socioeconomic backgrounds who are historically underrepresented in the field of Religious Studies, and/or students who have faced unusual adversity.
