De Von M. Carlson Scholarship, Colorado AIA, Environmental Design
The De Von M. Carlson Scholarship offered by the Architectural Education Foundation, AIA Colorado is available to a graduating Architecture option student in the Program in Environmental Design (ENVD) entering the first year of study toward the Master of Architecture degree at the University of Colorado Denver CAP the fall following the award presentation. This scholarship, first presented in 2005, is awarded to an exceptional fourth year undergraduate student with demonstrated hand drawing skills. DeVon M Carlson, FAIA, is a dedicated architectural educator. He was the first Dean of the College of Architecture in Boulder and was the first President of the Colorado Society of Architects, AIA, in 1968/69 and again in 1980. This scholarship is presented by the Carlsons and their colleagues. The applicant must demonstrate financial need and be a Colorado resident.
