Gary Higa Friendship Fund Scholarship

The Gary Higa Friendship Fund Scholarship is provided through the University of Colorado Boulder. Recipients of the Gary Higa Friendship Fund Scholarship are awarded for one year.

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be a current undergraduate student.
  • Be a graduate of a Colorado high school
  • Demonstrate Financial Need according to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or CASFA.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to, involvement in, and/or study of the wider Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community, culture, and history.

To apply for consideration, you must:

  • Complete the CU Boulder Scholarship Application.
  • Submit your application by the posted deadline.

This scholarship aims to support the lived and individual experiences and achievements of Asian American and Pacific Islander college students. This scholarship is open to qualified CU Boulder applicants and does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, creed, religion, veteran status, marital status, political affiliation, political philosophy, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression in accordance with state, federal, and Regent law.
