Post-Holocaust American Judaism Collections Undergraduate Scholarship in Jewish Studies

The Program in Jewish Studies and the University Libraries Special Collections and Archives annually hold a competition for a Post-Holocaust American Judaism Undergraduate Scholarship, which provides a $1,000 undergraduate scholarship over the course of a semester. The scholarship requires 60 hours of research over the semester (or approximately 4 hours per week to be allocated however works best around the student’s and the supervisor’s schedule) in the CU Post-Holocaust American Judaism Collections (PHAJ), housed in the University Libraries Archives. All undergraduate students from the University of Colorado Boulder, from all backgrounds and majors, are eligible to receive this scholarship.

The student who is selected to receive this scholarship for Spring 2022 will be named the David Shneer Undergraduate Archival Scholar, and will be expected to:

  • Work with librarians, archivists, and a faculty member on an original research project using archival materials in one or more of the PHAJ collections.
  • Present their project at a research showcase in April 2022.
