Bacon Family Scholarship in Sociology

The Bacon Family Scholarship is provided through the Department of Sociology and the University of Colorado Boulder. Recipients of the Bacon Family Scholarship are awarded for one-year and the scholarship is renewable for up to 2 years.

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be a current undergraduate student with a major in Sociology.
  • Must be a junior at the time of receiving the award.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Demonstrated financial need as determined by the FASFA/CASFA.

Renewal Criteria
To be eligible to renew this scholarship each year, recipients are required to enroll as full-time undergraduate students with a major in Sociology each fall and spring semester, maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA each academic year, demonstrate financial need as determined by the FASFA/CASFA and meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). This scholarship is renewable for up to 2 years and is awarded for the student’s junior and senior years.
