Barbara Lynn Bowler Scholarship in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences

The Barbara Lynn Bowler Scholarship is awarded to students in the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences who meet the following criteria: (1) current undergraduate or graduate with a major in SLHS, (2) demonstrated academic merit, and (3) demonstrated financial need. Award decisions are made by the SLHS Executive Committee, and the size and number of scholarship awards are based on the availability of funds. This award was established by Dr. Ned W. Bowler and his wife Robin in loving memory of their daughter, Lynn, who passed away in 1978. Dr. Bowler, a speech-language pathologist and speech scientist, was the first chair of the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology, and a professor at CU Boulder from 1959 to 1981.
