Beardsley Family Scholarship; Center of the American West

The George B. Beardsley Family Scholarship is awarded to students at the University of Colorado Boulder who meet the following criteria: (1) undergraduate student enrolled in the Western American Studies Certificate Program in the Center of the American West, (2) enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree program, (3) remain enrolled full-time during the spring semester of the award, and (4) maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. This scholarship is awarded and applied in the spring semester of each academic year. Recipients are asked to (1) write a thank you note to the Beardsley family, (2) write a report on how participation in the certificate program has been beneficial in moving closer toward one or more life goals, and (3) provide a brief oral report to the Center’s board of directors at the spring meeting or a brief written report if unable to attend. To apply for this scholarship, please complete the required supplemental questions.

Past recipients are eligible to apply for a second Beardsley Scholarship during their time at CU Boulder. If selected, the second award is limited to a maximum of $2,000. Applicants may receive the scholarship no more than twice.
