Bartkus Family Scholarship

The Bartkus Family Scholarship was established by Tony Bartkus of Bartkus Oil to give back to the community and campus, and to recognize his son Dale’s career as an educator. It is for the benefit of undergraduates majoring in social sciences, music, arts, journalism, humanities, or education. Preference to students going into helping professions (excluding medicine, law, engineering and business) demonstrating strong potential for success. Based on merit, university or community involvement, financial need and an interview. Non-traditional students over the age of 24 are encouraged to apply.

Supplemental Questions
  1. Imagine that it's 20 years from now. Write an essay describing what your life is now like. Although you should mention your career, describe yourself not as career pursuant, but try to imagine the kind of person you wish to be. (500 word limit)
  2. Submit one or two recommendations from University faculty, staff, community leaders, or mentors who can attest to your accomplishments and potential for success.
